Timber Hoarding

Tagg Construction delivered a large-scale, freestanding timber hoarding package supported by more than 800 tonnes of proprietary kentledge blocks.

The works included

• Manufacture, delivery and installation of over 800 tonnes of proprietary kentledge blocks
• Installation of 1,803 linear metres of timber hoarding
• Fabrication and installation of eight bespoke access gates, with openings of up to 10 metres
• Full decoration and rebranding in the client's updated marketing colours
• Phased alterations and removal coordinated with the client's construction programme

Heras Fencing on Posts

Tagg Construction designed and installed over 6,600 linear metres of post-supported Heras fencing, creating a robust and clearly defined boundary across a 1,200-unit joint venture development.

The works included

• Design of a robust and cost-effective fencing solution
• Preparation of a complete temporary works documentation package, including detailed drawings, structural calculations, a BS 5975 Category 1 design check, designer's risk assessment and document issue register
• Supply of over 1,800 Heras panels, associated materials and installation labour
• Installation of the post-supported fencing system and Monarflex sheeting
• Phased installation coordinated with both clients and the joint venture management team
• Alterations and extensions to accommodate the evolving site layout and construction programme

The completed system provided a secure, durable and consistently aligned boundary suitable for the development's long-term construction requirements.

Tree Protection Fencing

Tagg Construction installed 2,068 linear metres of tree protection fencing to safeguard retained trees and root protection areas throughout the construction works.

• GPS-assisted setting out ensured the fencing followed the specified tree protection boundaries without affecting the proposed development
• Installed in accordance with BS 5837:2012 and the project's arboricultural requirements, establishing clearly defined construction exclusion zones
• The installation was subsequently altered and delivered in phases to accommodate the client's evolving construction programme

Newt Fencing

Tagg Construction installed 1,542 linear metres of temporary newt fencing within environmentally sensitive areas of the development.

The works included

• GPS-assisted setting out of the approved fencing routes
• Clearance of vegetation under the supervision of the project ecologist
• Use of compact, low-weight plant approved for the environmentally sensitive location
• Installation of both in-ground and non-intrusive sandbagged newt fencing to suit the site conditions
• Coordination with the project ecologist throughout the works

All fencing was installed in accordance with the project's ecological requirements and approved installation details.
